Buena Mulata is a long, pointed, violet-colored Cayenne that is startlingly beautiful and packs high voltage flavor along with its heat. The long, round pods measure as much as 6 to 7 ” undergoing a flavor change as they ripen. Like a chameleon, ripening violet to pinkish-flesh color, then orange changing to brown, and eventually to a deep red. The reds being sweeter and meatier than the violets. A stunning plant, with its purple streaked leaves and fruits. Grows well in pots. Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost and transplant into garden well after the danger of frost. Days to maturity: 75-80 I crushed up my dried peppers and made the most delicious powdered "cayenne pepper" I have ever tasted! PLANTS ARE PICK UP ONLY - PLEASE INDICATE DATE YOU WISH TO PICK UP
