Dense bunches of aromatic dark green leaves on long-standing, bolt-tolerant plants. A lovely cilantro with nice big meaty leaves, Caribe emphasizes bolt tolerance. It has a nice, fresh, difficult to describe, strong flavour. High yielding over an extended period of time.  Plants produce flowers that are attractive to beneficial insects. We in this part of the world tend to call the leaves cilantro and the dried seeds coriander.

Days to Maturity: 55 days Germination: 7-14 days Seed Planting Depth: 1/4″, 18-24 in. (45-60 cm)H,
Starting Indoors/Outdoors: Sowing outdoors is best, in the spring when soil temps reach 60F 16C. Sow 1-2″ apart, start harvesting when plants are a few inches. Sow small rows every few weeks for a continuous harvest. For a head start you can start indoors 3-4 weeks before last frost using peat or paper pots(grows a delicate taproot, successful transplanting may be difficult)  Transplant to 3-4″ apart. Reseeds easily
Sun  part sun,welldrained soil.

All cilantro/coriander varieties flower during hot weather – once cilantro has started to flower, the best thing is to let flowers and seeds develop so as to encourage reseeding.
