I grow flowers and seeds the slow way… right here, in season, with care for the land that sustains them.
After decades of working with plants, seeds and soil, I choose to focus on what brings me the most joy: growing distinctive, field-grown flowers that reflect the rhythms of nature rather than resist them.
Everything I offer is organically grown, chemical-free, and never imported. My farm is managed with a regenerative mindset—low footprint, zero-mile blooms, and deep respect for the living systems at work in every bed and hedgerow.
My flowers are gathered at their peak, arranged naturally and abundantly, and designed to celebrate what is growing now. No forced seasons. No replicas. Just honest, expressive blooms that feel alive—because they are.
Alongside fresh flowers, I offer a small, carefully curated selection of seeds, dahlia tubers, scented geraniums and chrysanthemums grown and saved here, on the farm, with an emphasis on resilience, beauty, and continuity.
This is truly field-to-vase floristry—rooted in place, guided by nature, and grown with intention.
At Seeds of Imbolc, sustainability isn’t an add-on – it’s the heart of everything we do. We grow flowers, seeds, and garden plants naturally and chemical-free, right here in Fergus, Ontario. Our commitment to regenerative growing practices means we work with nature, not against it – nurturing soil health, supporting biodiversity, and creating beauty that lasts.
Regenerative, Soil-First Farming
Everything begins with the soil. We focus on building living, nutrient-rich soil through composting, mulching, and careful bed management so plants are naturally resilient and vibrant from root to bloom. Rather than relying on synthetic inputs, we enhance soil biology and plant health the way nature intended — prioritizing long-term soil vitality over short-term fixes.
Chemical-Free & Open-Pollinated
Our flowers and seeds are grown without chemicals, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers. Feed the soil and the soil will feed the plants. We select open-pollinated, non-GMO varieties that thrive in our local climate and support pollinators, beneficial insects, and the wider ecosystem. Every seed we offer is hand-harvested, and chosen for performance in Canadian gardens.
Locally Grown & Thoughtful
Seeds of Imbolc champions the benefits of local agriculture – from reducing transportation footprints to preserving regional genetic diversity. Locally adapted seeds and blooms perform better in your garden, and growing in harmony with local weather patterns and seasonal rhythms means we celebrate what’s naturally abundant rather than forcing unnatural production.
Biodiversity & Ecosystem Health
We see the farm as part of a broader landscape, not an isolated plot. By encouraging plant diversity, supporting pollinators, and integrating thoughtful, low-input practices, we contribute to healthier soil, cleaner air, and stronger local ecosystems.
IMBOLC is an ancient festival (February 2nd) to CELEBRATE THE SEED and Nature as they considered it to be unconditionally sacred, an expression or manifestation of deity and divinity. Druids do not worship nature; they give reverence to deity that is expressed within nature.
It is the time of Blessing of the seeds and consecration of agricultural tools. It is the festival of the Maiden, for from this day to March 21st, it is her season to prepare for growth and renewal. Brighid’s snake emerges from the womb of the Earth Mother to test the weather, (the origin of Ground Hog Day), and in many places the first Crocus flowers began to spring forth from the frozen earth.
Another traditional symbol of Imbolc is the plough. Pieces of cheese and bread are left by the plough and in the newly turned furrows as offerings to the nature spirits. It is considered taboo to cut or pic plants during this time.
We can attempt to try to understand this power, this energy that we feel and see all around us, or we can simply accept that it is beyond our full comprehension whilst acknowledging its power over our lives, that it is deity, that it is sacred.
To a Druid, the term ‘supernatural’ has no meaning; nothing can be above Nature. Another view would be that the universe had no beginning, it is a continuing, ever changing wonder that we can’t hope to fully comprehend.
Within our society it has become normal to think of nature as something linked to the countryside, or that which might be observed outside of ourselves other than that which is beyond the physical. Perhaps we can learn from their knowledge. Food for thought
