This old heirloom tomato has been grown by Darlene MacMillans’s family for many years in Colfax, Saskatchewan and originally came from Russia. The very compact dwarf plants (12-18”)(30-45cm), are ideal for growing in containers and produce nice tasting, small size,(saladette),red tomatoes that are perfect for salads. A nice early season tomato!
Determinate. Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before planting out. (60 days from transplant)

Each flower head is a spherical-cylindrical umbel that is packed with tiny, stemless, violet-blue flowers. Summer bloom is often profuse.
Excellent for cut or dried flower arrangements.
Amaranth ‘Elephant Head ‘
(Amaranthus gangeticus) Annual Huge dark burgundy red plumes look as if an elephant is raising its trunk into the air. Long blooming spectacular plant that grows 3- 5', (152 cm) grabbing attention in the garden. It is also an excellent cut flower, the larger branches can be cut into smaller ones if desired. Absolutely stunning food plant! Seeds are edible and can be popped.
