Description

Also known as sweet sagewort, sweet wormwood, and Chinese wormwood. Modern medical star, Chinese antimalarial herb is our last line of defense in parts of the world where the malaria parasite has become resistant to all other drugs. Has been cultivated in China for at least 2000 years. Isolated constituents show promise as an anticancer agent as well.

Transplant – Sow 5-6 weeks before last frost. Barely cover the seed. Transplant when the seedlings have the second set of true leaves. Harden off and transplant outside after the danger of frost has passed.  Direct sow 2 weeks before last frost or let self seed in fall.  Keep moist.
