Description
Seedpods are great in bouquets fresh or for dried use. Edible seed.
Sown in early spring, first flowers appear in early July. 60 – 90cm (24 – 36in) broad lettuce-like leaves. Self-seeds. Well-drained, fertile soil, full sun or large containers. Thin to 12″ apart by early summer. Excellent drainage is a must.
The blooms make stunning floral arrangements but arent long lasting. Cut flowers last just 2-3 days in the vase if youre lucky. Harvest when ½ open and sear the bottom end in boiling water or flame for 7-10 seconds. Seed pods can be dried and used indefinitely.
Approx 100 seeds
