Beautiful peach-pink blossoms are one of a kind!  Attractive enough for flower gardens or patios, but this one is in a class by itself with luminous peach to shell-pink blossoms – absolutely unique! Vines to 6′ (2m) or so, covered  with cascades of runner bean pods, equally wonderful whether used as snaps fresh, canned or frozen, or as shell beans. A very early variety that produces high yields of light-green pods on sturdy, 6-foot long vines. Plant directly into rich, fast draining soil in spring after the soil has warmed. Sow 1″ (2.5 cm) deep and 2-4″ (10 cm) apart in rows 18-24″ apart. Soaking 1-2 hours prior to planting will speed germination. Thin when seedlings emerge 6″ (15 cm) apart.

Pick often to keep plants productive; when harvesting immature pods you encourage new blooms to form. An interesting fact about runner beans is that they twine clockwise where pole beans go counter clockwise. Use as a fresh vegetable with its edible flowers and pods or as an ornamental climber.
