Poppy ‘Pink Blush’

$5.25

Papaver somniferum var. lacinatum is superb in the flower border, with lush, frilled, softest blush of pink, often palm-sized blooms. An ethereal shade of pale, inside-the-shell light pink!

Description

Seedpods are great in bouquets fresh or for dried use. Edible seed.
Sown in early spring, first flowers appear in early July.  60 – 90cm (24 – 36in) broad lettuce-like leaves. Self-seeds. Grow them in a position with deep, well-drained, fertile soil, full sun or large containers. Thin to 12″ apart by early summer. Excellent drainage is a must.
Cut Flowers:
The blooms make stunning floral arrangements but aren’t long lasting. Cut flowers last just 2-3 days in the vase if you’re lucky. Harvest when ½ open and sear the bottom end in boiling water or flame for 7-10 seconds. Seed pods can be dried and used indefinitely.
Approx. 100+seeds
