A cool-season hardy annual that prefers full sun. Start seeds indoors 7-8 weeks before planting date or cast seeds directly in the garden. Do not cover seed; allow 7-14 days to germinate.

Harvest just after petals are unfolding for a vase life of 7-10 days.

Rudbeckias are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this and extend their vase life, add a few drops of bleach or chlorine tablets to the water.

Ht. 20 – 30″, Space 9- 12″ apart in the garden. Days to maturity: 100-120 days.Pinching is not necessary.
