Pea ‘Amplissimo Viktoria Ukrainskaya’
Ukrainian heirloom
a.k.a. the "Garbanzo pea of the North"
A pea to substitute for climates where it is difficult to grow chickpeas because of short springs and hot summers. Makes delicious hummus, curries, you name it! These peas hold their shape after cooking just like chickpeas!

Pea ‘Swedish Red ‘

Pepper – ‘Doe Hill’
Capsicum annuum A rare family heirloom from Doe Hill area of Highland County, Virginia. This is without a doubt one of the very best peppers for short season areas, and definitely one of the tastiest! Just thinking of slicing into one of these small packages bursting with fresh sweet flavour makes my mouth water! The small round lobed peppers are the shape of old fashioned tomato peppers and turn a glorious gold at maturity or can be eaten green. They do not seem to cause indigestion like others can. very sweet and very productive. Rare and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. (60-65 days from transplant)

Pepper – Amish Pimiento
Amish Pimiento Sweet Pepper Capsicum annuum (85 days) Open-pollinated. Pimientos are the sweetest of all peppers—my favorite!
Productive and fairly early, thick-walled and crunchy – these compact 1-2’ plants pump out lots of these wonderful fruits.
Amish Pimiento plants are compact and sturdy, producing heavy crops of squat, round, 2 by 4” (5 by 10 cm) fruit that ripen from green to bright red. Its peppers are fleshy and apple-sweet, excellent for both fresh eating, drying and pickling.

Pepper – Black Hungarian
(Capsicum annuum) Beautifully bold and decidedly sweet…
There’s a drama to the Hungarian black pepper that’s 100% its own. Its dark-hued skin turns to a rich jewel tone red as it ages, and it delivers a certain sweetness at maturity quite unlike other chilies in its heat range. This is a chili that fits both form and function, working beautifully as both an ornamental pepper and a culinary chili.

Poppy – Pink Peony ‘Double Bubble’
Papaver somniferum var. paeoniflorum
Simply stunning - gorgeous pink full glorious blooms - same colour as our favourite bubblegum! Luscious peony type blooms. (See under Blog section for poppy info)
Peony poppy is also sometimes called double garden poppy because it produces large, double blooms that typically span 4 to 5 inches across. The plant reaches an average of height of 2 to 3 feet. The flowers have the characteristic papery, ruffled appearance and texture of other poppies. The attractive foliage has rounded leaves accented with feathery edging. The large seed pods that appear after flowering work well in dried floral arrangements and you can use them for crafts.
Peony poppy prefers organically rich, well-draining soil in full sun. Annual. Will self seed.

Poppy ‘Dazzling Delights’ Mix
(Papaver rhoeas) annual This long flowering, beautiful, easy to grow mix has all sorts of stunning solids & bicolour single & double blooms! The pleated blooms pirouette gracefully at the ends of the wiry stems. One of the most ephemeral and delicate flowers that I grow, Shirley poppies steal the hearts of everyone who visits our garden. Pollinators love them!
