Dianthus – ‘Sweet William Mix’
(Dianthus Barbatus) So beautiful! The array of colours, including white, pink and bi-colour varieties are so charming! An irresistible, colourful, biennial, or short-lived perennial, flower with single or double blooms , blooming most profusely in the spring and summer. The plants require minimal care & give lovely, low-maintenance colour to borders, beds and containers. The flowers are edible and may have medicinal properties. Attracts bees, birds, and butterflies.
Dianthus – Pinks “Lace Perfume”
A highly fragrant "pinks" or dianthus with dainty laced and fringed blossoms that look like softly coloured snowflakes with a spicy/ sweet clove-like fragrance that wafts seductively in the air. The sturdy branching plants grow 12"+ tall with flowers in rose, lilac, soft pink, white and many delicate bi colours. When cut for bouquets, the lacy blossoms of these fragrant flowers seem to arrange themselves.
Christopher Lloyd extolled these sweet blooms from the 1920s as "one...that I would never want to be without."

Fennel ‘Bronze Leaf’
Foeniculum vulgare dulce 'Rubrum' this beautiful perennial plant is the host for the Swallowtail butterfly, is a long lasting, fragrant filler in bouquets, is edible, tasting like anise (leaves and seeds) and medicinal. What more could you ask for????!! Highly recommended as a long lasting unusual bouquet filler, similar in appearance to dill, its smokey bronze colour contrasting beautifully with the mustard yellow blooms. An aromatic herb that attracts beneficial insects!

Feverfew -Matricaria
Matricaria, also known as feverfew, botanical name Tanacetum parthenium, is very cheerful, prolific branching flower, excellent as a filler in bouquets!
Long, strong stems that support abundant, 1/2–1" daisy like blooms with yellow disks and white petals. Easy to grow and harvest.
Feverfew is believed to aid digestion, and lower blood pressure. There is some scientific evidence that drinking feverfew tea, or adding a few fresh leaves leaves to a sandwich everyday, can for some people, reduce the frequency and severity of migraine headaches.
Figwort (Scrophularia nodosa)
Figwort is a hardworking perennial herb that will flower the first year from seed if started early. Great for medicinal use, cut flower filler and pollinator magnet! Recommended by Erin at Floret
Branching plants produce an abundance of long stems smothered in rather inconspicuous, chocolate and green hoodlike blooms, similar to snapdragons, which ripen into egg-shaped seed capsules and those seed pods are just the perfect bouquet filler for interest and movement!
Figworts are among the most prolific nectar producers in the plant world!

Millet – ‘Lime Light’ Spray Millet
Setaria italica - Foxtail-type millet. Very popular bouquet filler!
Vibrant lime colour is enough to make this variety a keeper! Excellent fresh and dried cut flowers. Ornamental, but of course also edible... the nutritious grain is good for both humans and birds.

PEPPER ‘BLACK PEARL’
The Black Pearl is a stunning ornamental pepper plant! So beautiful that All America Selections (AAS) awarded it for its beauty in 2006.
I love to use these in floral arrangements.
Don’t let the term “ornamental” fool you; these are edible hot peppers with a surprising pop of heat (10,000 to 30,000 Scoville heat units) with a light citrusy-sweet flavour.

Pepper ‘Bolivian Rainbow’
A stunningly beautiful plant-grown for centuries in Bolivia (Central South America) with 1" cone shaped peppers growing upright on the plant so they are very visible.
Starting out a brilliant purple, turning yellow to orange to red, with all stages of the pepper present on the plant at once, making it a bright and colourful addition to your garden, pots or arrangements.
They grow very well in containers and indoors as well, and as long as direct light can be supplied, you can enjoy these chilies for much of the year.

Rudbeckia triloba – ‘Black Eyed Susan’
These miniature-sized flowers are borne in airy sprays, and when added to arrangements, they bring a happy, uplifting vision! Butterflies are attracted to the nectar and birds to the seeds.
